Don’t miss out on Wednesday Nite Live Stamford
Summer in Stamford
During summer in Stanford, many locals don’t mind when the work week is only halfway over! Wednesday Nite Live Stamford is an ever-growing outdoor summer concert series held downtown at Columbus Park. Originally known as Jazz-Up July, Wednesday Nite Live has become more popular each and every year with both the patrons on the lawn and the acts that grace the stage. The more regional acts that populated the event in its “jazzed-up” infancy have progressed to a broader group of nationally known artists. However, the series is still a community event with the larger audiences comprised of more and more locals who love to enjoy the summer in Stanford.
As Wednesday Nite Live is targeted to the after work crowd, the weekly 6:30PM concerts tend to skew older in demographic. But even if you were crawling in diapers when The Temptations originally crooned, the community atmosphere is something to be experienced. There is a $10 festival entrance fee and everyone is encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, and picnic fare to the park, even though alcohol and some other refreshments are available for purchase.
